Need basic lesson in Speed Limiter

I can't get Speed Limiter to work at all. Using IE 6.0, what are the basic steps?

Before posting, I previously tried to follow those steps, but it does not work. When I select "Launch => Default Brower", IE opens, slowly, to url 127.0.0.1:8088/, and the error is "The page cannot be displayed". I would have expected to have the delight.ch url to open, since that is the url I requested in the Speed Limiter dialog, but it does not open. What spte am I missing?

Hi Rich

Is your IE using a proxy server? To simulate slow connections with SpeedLimiter you need a direct connection to the Internet because SpeedLimiter does not work with a proxy server (except a transparent proxy).

hum...i'm also using no proxy. i got a running xampp with apache 2.049 and also only get the "this page can not displayed" error when using 127.0.0.1:8088/ port 80, einzelverbindung, no http virthost.
what's that?

Maybe you have a client Firewall blocking SpeedLimiter?

Same with me here not working, i dont use a proxy with firefox 2.0, firewall client and hardware shut down. xampp shut down bareminimum system an i try using 127.0.0.1:8088/ on port 80 ... nothing working. any ideas
